Nikon CoolPix P6000

Part of Nikon's professional-oriented "P" range, headline features include a high resolution 13.5mp sensor, a nice wide-angle (28mm) zoom lens, and even integrated GPS.
The P6000 also, interestingly, has wired LAN support instead of Wifi. This seems like a bit of an odd choice on Nikon's part, and one that I don't think has yet been adequately explained.
An initial assessment of image quality, based on Nikon's own sample images (see below), is encouraging. Certainly, images look surprisingly smooth and detailed at base ISO for a camera with 13.5mp on a small sensor. It remains to be seen just how good shots will be in real-life situations and higher ISOs, however.
